Back in May, I was part of a release party for Dak! in San Francisco--he played some banging tunes, Augie Trautz and I showed some of our artwork. I ended up making six large pieces in a fashion-illustrationy series. It occurred to me I haven't put them up yet, so here are my favorites:



My goal is to redo these in bright, colorful gouache! Hope you like them!

a clean room is a happy room!

This morning I decided to put together my Ikea Laiva desk (which was only twenty bucks, hollaaa) and rearrange my room to fit in a little studio space. It's so nice and organized in here now!!

I've always loved Arthur Rackham's illustrations, mostly for his pretty fantasy pieces. But while looking for inspiration this week, I started to get into his darker, more surreal stuff. His monsters, animals, ugly people and beautiful people all look really comfortable in the same universe.
